Behind the prints

With Summer Open Studios coming up, here’s the inspiration behind some of the prints that will be on sale.

Up the Junction has a plethora of Dalston references from landmarks, bars and icons to lyrics.

“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” is a tribute to the final moments of Muhammad Ali’s Rumble in the Jungle fight.

Brighton Rock references the Graham Greene novel, The Who, Quadrophenia, seaside rock, deckchairs, mods and rockers.

The prints shown are limited edition screen prints. Only a small run of a design is printed, each is embossed and signed by the artist. The prints are available at Open Studios.
